Etodolac

Etodolac is a white crystalline powder. Etodolac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug or NSAID. It works by blocking the production of certain chemicals that cause pain and inflammation.

It also blocks prostaglandins, substances that are released during injury or disease, causing inflammation and pain. It inhibits prostaglandin synthesis by blocking the enzyme cyclooxygenase.

Etodolacis a potent analgesic. Etodolac is used to treat moderate to severe pain, swelling, and stiffness caused by osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis. It is used in the treatment of postoperative pain, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and acute pain.

It is also used to treat bursitis, tendinitis, gout and the after-effects of surgical procedures osteoarthritis (OA), Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), ankylosing spondylitis, familial hemiplegic migraine, psoriatic arthritis, and juvenile idiopathic arthritis.

Etodolac is also used in the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis and rheumatoid arthritis in children and adolescents. It is also used to treat painful menstruation and the treatment mild to moderate pain in adults.

It is used to relieve pain after surgery. Etodolac should not be used for severe pain, postoperative pain, pain after your surgery, severe dental pain, or pain that requires opioid analgesics. It should be used during pregnancy only if needed. It doesn't cure these conditions, but it can help reduce symptoms.
